Les Frères Laffitte
Christophe et Sébastien are two true Gascon brothers who can trace their ancestry in their village of Ayzieu back to the 15th Century. The name ‘La Fitte’ originates from the word ‘stone’ in the ancient Gascon language. Amazingly, there has been only one son born to succeed each generation since then that time. Until now… The family historically made only vintage Armagnac and it was the brothers’ parents who made the decision to diversify into wine and, in a single generation, they have grown their property from 18 to 120 hectares of vines.
The striking modern labels illustrate the two foremost symbols of the south-west region: the beret and the marinière. Red berets mostly being worn at village festivals, with the wines being as facile as the packaging suggests.
